The Rusty Horseshoe Mine, located approximately 15 miles southeast of Prescott, Arizona in Yavapai County, and part of the Agua Fria Physiographic area. The mine consists of 20.66 acres which includes a main shaft. That shaft is at least 100 foot in length/depth. It briefly runs vertical and then becomes horizontal.There has been previous underground mining, as evident by three shafts, and limited underground workings. The amount and tenor of previous production is unknown.

The mine is approximately 3 miles south of a small community that has services (i.e. fuel, food, water). It is accessible by way of a maintained gravel roadway and more specifically it is 1.7 miles from a paved roadway. The main shaft is situated 1,447 feet off of the gravel roadway and from that point it is navigated by way of a short dirt road. The dirt road can be traversed by vehicle.

Initial exploration was conducted in 1987 with seven sample were trenches dug and revealed 150,000 tons grading 0.075 oz. gold/ton.

In 1988 the mine was drilled and proved up 336,000 tons of ore at average grade .065 opt gold totaling 21,840 ounces of gold.

The owners wish to sell the mine and are asking $27,000.
