This past producing silver and gold mine is located in the Utah's Granite Mining District. It is about a 30 minute drive from town and about 17 miles west of Milford as the crow flies. The site can be reached by 2wd vehicles and there is a large camp site 40 yards from the mine with plenty of room for a RV or trailer.

The mine was established about 1864 has not seen any work since the 50's but the majority of the work here stopped in the 30's. The claim site is now covered with Cedar and Juniper along with rubble and miners trash from the past activity.

A large pile of tailings is located near the entrance to the mine and this appears to be about 1000 cubic yards of good looking stone, loaded with gold and silver. These rocks range in size from pebble to watermelon. Some of the tailings appear to be pushed back into the mine to close up the lower workings.

Beautiful old timbers from ladders and shoring lay at the bottom of the mine at about 50 feet. The mine is most likely another 50 feet deeper than this but because of the blockage, the owner cannot be certain about this. The shaft is about 7 feet square and large enough to have two people on hoists easily moving and working up and down the cut.

This mine hosts silver and and gold with copper present as well. The Ore becomes darker and the and the pockets larger with depth and it is obvious that this mine sits on a massive ore body. The owner is willing to sell this 20 acre lode claim for $22,000.
