These 20 acre dredge claims are in a great area, the Historic
Florence Mining District where 3 million ounces were removed in 1862
by gold pans and long toms. A report done by the Idaho Bureau of Mines
and Geology say that considerable gold was lost by these ineffecient
methods. |
ATV
access to the claim. The US Fish and Wildife has studied the drainage
and have determined there is no endangered species or their habitat on
the drainage. |
There is good access for motorhomes and trailers to the vicinity of the
claims. There are some numerous campsites in the area. Fishing and hunting
in season. Parts of the old town still remain including "boot hill". Numerous
ATV trails through the historic area. |

NOTE - With a dredge claim you would have to get your own permit from
the Idaho Dept. of Water Resources in Boise. This is fairly easy to get. Then
you could use your dredge in the water and run a high banker anywhere else
on the claim as long as the water from the high banker was filtered through
the grass before it was allowed to return to the creek.
