The Badger Mine consists of 20.66 acres and is located approximately 7 miles S.E. of Prescott, Arizona (Yavapai County). The mine is located in the lower foothills of the Bradshaw Mountains in the Groom Creek and Wolf Creek areas. It has a 100 foot vertical shaft which is solid base, primarily a quartz mineral. The surrounding acreage (including hillsides) consists of the same minerals.

The claim is easily accessible, approximately 200 feet off of and adjacent to a maintained gravel roadway. Traveling North from the mine about .4 tenths of a mile, the roadway becomes paved at continues into the City of Prescott where you'll find all services.

There is no apparent recorded history for the Badger Mine in Yavapai County or with the Bureau of Land Management. The mine shaft was initially discovered by a government agency a couple years ago. This agency subsequently notified the U.S. Forestry Division as the mine shaft was not sealed or fenced as required by law.
In 1864, Yavapai County required that all mining claims be recorded. There is no claim history for the Lost Dog Mine whatsoever. Additionally, the owners have discovered smaller artifacts which have been dated to the mid 1800's. It is apparent that the mine predates the Yavapai County Recorder Law of 1864.

The shaft has been accessed several times by the owners and is in nearly perfect shape considering the assumed age of this mine. There appears to be no intrusions or weaknesses of the tunnel (walls and/or ceiling). There is no collapse of material. The south wall of the shaft has several distinguishable and visible gold bearing veins. They vary in size with the larger ones being approximately 6-8 inches wide. The North interior wall of the shaft bears the same sort of resemblance. Additionally, there are other spotted gold areas throughout the shaft walls, all of which remained unexplored and untouched.

The Badger Mine is a virtual treasure trove being that it has not been accessed since the mid 1800's. The untapped gold potential is therefore extremely high. It is not something that has been plagued out over the years as it has been well hidden and unknown until discovery. The assay testing results clearly demonstrates the value.
