The Desert Wash claim is 2 miles East of Vicksburg Arizona that is approximately 30 miles East of Quartzite and 100 miles West of Phoenix.

The Desert Wash claim is a 160 acre unpatented placer mining claim. Which is located in the historical Ellsworth mining district that is known to be mostly a hard rock mining area with glory hole discoveries. This is a heavy claimed area with countless quartz lenses and stringers in the area where there are gold-bearing gravels in the many small gulches, basins and washes. I have found gold in many of the washes. A very good 2 wheel drive road runs along the whole west side that can be accessed by trailers, and RVs that is perfect for camping, some winter visitors come each year. On the North end of the claim it is a little more rugged up to the New Desert Mine.

For the rest of the claim you get to walk. Just hiking through the claim you will find numerous old-timer claim monuments, posts and some times rusty history. Spend some time prospecting and you might find your own glory hole.

Ref.: Bancroft, H. (1911), Reconnaissance of the ore deposits in northern Yuma County, Arizona, USGS Bull. 451: 98, 102. A gold placer area located in secs. 21, T5N, R14W and 2 miles N of Vicksburg, on BLM-administered land. Location is approximate. Owned and operated by mostly small individual operators. Mineralization is gold-bearing gravels in many small gulches, derived from numerous small gold-quartz lenses in the Mesozoic schist.

Sweet little low cost gold claims don't come along everyday. If this interests you, contact us right away. We expect this to sell soon.
