LOCATION: The Big Chief Group is a consolidation of several old producing mines which are located in the Northern Bradshaw Mountains of Central Arizona. Specifically, the Properties lie within T12N, R2W, Section 5, and approximately 12 miles south of Prescott, Arizona The Property as a group lies at elevations ranging from 5600' to 6300'.

PROPERTY DESCRIPTION: The Big Chief Group is composed of four primary mines and a number of satellite or secondary mines; namely, the Big Chief, BC Zone, Goldwater, and Independence, totaling approximately 150 acres. The local climate is very mild, resulting in a favorable working environment vegetation consists predominantly of shrub oak, manzanita, cactus, and other species common to the high desert environment.

HISTORY AND WORKINGS: Mining history for the Property is not well documented, although old records do indicate production of selectively mined hi-grade gold ore. Pocket mining was common to the early day producers in this Region, resulting in the exploitation of very rich ore, and at the same time, exposing and leaving behind considerable volumes of commercial ore for current metal market prices, together with modem mining and recovery techniques. It is known that some ore graded as high as 30 opt Au, but with most ore ranging between 3 and 10 opt Au. Considerable exposure of the veins and large shear zone system throughout the Property indicates that a large potential remains, and that ore exists below and surrounding many old workings. Throughout a strike length of 80W are scattered mine workings, consisting of many adits, sublevels, winzes, small stopes, and 3 primary shafts. Previous activities have resulted in several mine dumps that are now regarded as economic grade ore.

ECONOMIC GEOLOGY AND POTENTIAL ; A mylonitic andesite hosts a broad shear zone up to 250' wide, containing veins and silica- flooded zones of intense mylonitzation. Mineralization of importance is predominantly that of quartz-filled fractures containing secondary hematite, limonite, minor pyrite, and some manganese oxides showing as dendrites within the fracture system. Gold appears to be directly related with the fractures bearing quartz-hematite mineralizalion. Vein widths range between 2' and 25'; whereas, the gold-bearing shear zone attains a width average of about 150'. Surface and underground sampling has varied from trace lo as high as 30 opt Au the average being about 6 to .7 opt Au.

Potential exists in both multiple vein deposits and a broad shear-zone. The veins range up : 25' in width; whereas, the shear zone is as much as 250' in width and amenable to surface, bulk mining methods. Intermediate production potential exists with dumps of economic grade, surface and underground exposures in the veins, and the extensive shear zone exposures at the BC, Big Chief, and Independence Mines.

Surface and underground sampling, and trenching have outlined a substantial ore reserve, together with defining the potential to significantly expand reserves through drilling and underground development An evaluation of the ore reserve base at Big Chief Group has resulted in the calculation of ore reserves for several zones as listed above.
